The Last Stop

As part of my final year university project, I will be researching whether those suffering with mental illnesses should be allowed the option to end their life via assisted suicide or euthanasia.

Euthanasia and assisted suicide has always been a heavily debated topic in the media, however this usually focuses on those with physical terminal illness. In regards to those suffering with mental health issues, it's not really talked about.

In this blog I will be sharing opinions of those who I have spoke to, such as psychiatrists and doctors, as well as people who have had direct experience with this topic and those campaigning for the right to euthanasia.

I will be also sharing articles and documentaries and discussing key terms to help with understanding this sensitive topic.
